4 Tips for Becoming a SAP Cloud Certified Consultant

We all know a lot of have started to or are already looking into adopting cloud solutions. And over the past three years, I have been speaking with many SAP consultants around the globe, working first as a recruiter and now as a consultative career adviser.

SAP Cloud Certification

As long as you are sure that you have a project lined up for the next few years, and you have your plans for the next five years.

I have huge respect for those who have the attitude to develop and are always speculating about their personal development. The most valuable thing in your career is your attitude to evolve and grow.

So, my question to you is “Have you thought about moving into the cloud?”

If so, try to do something now, not tomorrow, not next week. Sure, you could just as simply start next year, but you have to think about the advantages and benefits you would have by having that increase in terms of time and working on the “new technologies” as an early adopter. You get to be the first people to be in these new projects. If you know that is the area you want to go into the future, why not do it now? What is stopping you?

All of us find it challenging to dedicate ourselves when training or preparing for SAP certification, so here are a few tips that I can give you to kick off your future career.

1) Find a study partner:

Try to find a buddy who has the same goal for you. If you are preparing for an SF certification, try to find a partner who is as dedicated as you towards your goal.

2) Set yourself a realistic timetable for each week and stick to it.

If you know you are busy on your prevailing project, do not set yourself targets that you will not be able to obtain. It is more motivating to set goals and obtain them than get stuck behind the schedule you have set yourself.

3) Do your research about timings and courses

Speak to someone who can provide you information to assist you in setting your schedule properly. Mainly working with a lot of SAP consultants, I see that there are many consultants who are unclear about the Learning Journey they can use. These journeys are very simple and structured well. You can choose the course that fits your level and expertise.

4) Pick only one or two modules to focus on.

Do not try to take many certifications; try to stick to one or two that you will be specialized in. It is essential for you to have a certification but at the end of the day, it’s not about how many certifications you have, it’s about how much you know and how you can use that information while working with your client. Especially with cloud solutions, the releases are much more prevalent. If you have too many certifications, it will be tough for you to keep up to date with all of the new releases across the different modules. It is sufficient to be an expert in one or two areas than to try to spread yourself too thinly.
